Open-Source technologies allows us to build
highly interactive websites that engage visitors and allow website owners to maintain the sites themselves
There are Four Core Concepts of a Website Edit Engine Enabled Web Site:- Website Edit Engine: The engine is the core of the website system, giving you the power to make your own website edits and additions.
- Bolt-On Parts: These are the interactive features that will be available on your website. For example: The Text Bolt-On allows the PowerfulWebsite User to cut and paste text, format it just like in a word processor and save it to a page. Other Bolt-Ons allow the user to upload pictures and add links to pages. Still other Bolt-Ons add features like Interactive Calendars and Password Protected Sections to the website. - Templates: A Template describes the design look-and-feel of the site/page and an arrangement of the Bolt-Ons on the page. Depending on your package, we can put together any number of Templates that you'd like with any combination and layout of the Bolt-Ons that are available to your install. We can also add templates (for an additional charge) at any time that you'd like.
- Web Pages: A Web Page is a copy of a Template that is visible on your website and contains content that you can edit. You can add as many web pages to your site that you would like using the list of templates in your install.
Thus with a Website Edit Engine enabled site you get
more than a site that is just
a series of static web pages,
you'll get an interactive toolbox of features that you can use to communicate with your website visitors.
One that gives you the control to make changes when you need them and not when someone else can get around to doing it.
Furthermore,
we can always add Bolt-Ons to the site, easily expanding the list of features and sections when you need them
without requiring expensive redevelopment of the whole site.
This
enables our customers to start out with a site that they can then grow into as the site evolves.
Because the Website Edit Engine is Open Source it is extensible. We can develop additional
custom Bolt-Ons, Modules, Plug-ins, or whatever else you need for your business or organization.
