The Benefits of Decoupling Design and Content/Structure

Joe Anastasi of Anastasi & Associates, a private detective agency, needed a website that fulfilled three core requirements:

• The ability to update and maintain the content themselves
• The flexibility to add more features as the company grows
• An affordable option that would get them up and running quickly
  

NBI developed a Website Edit Engine based site using one of the existing design templates.  This enabled us to get the site up and running quickly and to minimize design and customization costs.

Using the template based approach, and stock set of Bolt-On Parts, we were able to get him up and running for under $500.

After about 6 months Joe wanted to spice up the look of the site.  He hired Mary Ann Beane of Just Causes to design a logo and a new look and feel for the site.  NBI worked closely with Just Causes providing them some guidance for designing web sites and with the completed Photoshop documents created a new "skin" and simply applied it to the existing site.

Joe didn't have to copy over any content or make any other changes to get the new look and feel applied to the site.
